Hey, I’m John. Small weddings run in my family.
In the mid-1970s, my parents got married in the living room of the house I grew up in, with my grandparents and siblings gathered around them. Many years later, I married my wife in the living room of our own home, surrounded by our kids, our parents, and a few close friends. No big church, no ballroom, no guest list politics, just the people who mattered most.
That’s why I photograph elopements and intimate weddings. Your wedding day is about the two of you, not the size of the crowd. When the guest list gets smaller, your options get bigger. You can say your vows in your own home, on a trail, or on a city street, and wear exactly what you want, without worrying about disappointing anyone.
I’m not a big-crowd person myself. I do my best work in calm, relaxed settings, which means you get a photographer who is focused completely on you.

How It Works (Simple 3-Step Process)
1. Check your date. Tell me about your plans, and I’ll reply personally with ideas and next steps.
2. Plan together. We’ll choose your location and build a simple timeline around the best light.
3. Be present. You focus on each other while I document the day as it happens. Afterward, you’ll receive your gallery and printed keepsakes to hold onto for decades.
